American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc will receive up to $210 million in aid from General Motors Co [GM.UL] as it completes a debt restructuring outside of bankruptcy, the auto-parts maker said Tuesday, sending its shares soaring more than 100 percent.American Axle (AXL.N) reached an agreement in principle with GM under which it would receive $110 million in payments from GM to help recover costs associated with the automaker's bankruptcy process.GM will also provide a second-lien term loan facility of up to $100 million, giving American Axle the right to make multiple draws from the loan through September 2013, the Detroit-based supplier said in regulatory filings on Tuesday.
