Killer Joe, starring Matthew McConaughey, Emile Hirsch, Juno Temple, Thomas Haden Church, Gina Gershon and Marc Macaulay, opens in theaters Friday, July 27. The crime thriller/comedy centers on a troubled 22-year-old who puts a hit out on his mother so he can collect her life insurance to pay off a debt to a drug lord.
The film has a runtime of 1 hour 42 minutes and is rated NC 17 for graphic aberrant content involving violence and sexuality, and a scene of brutality.
