Former adult Film star Jenna Jameson entered a not guilty plea for a DUI charge she received after a May accident in Westminster.
Jameson was arrested in Westminster on May 25th after she crashed her Land Rover into a light pole where she sustained minor injuries. She was noticeably impaired and repeatedly told officers “she just wanted to go home.”
After conducting field sobriety tests, Jameson’s blood alcohol level registered .05 above the state’s legal limit of .08.
Jameson starred in many porn films but has since retired to take care of her twin sons she had with UFC champion Tito Ortiz. The couple split in 2010, partly due to Jameson’s use of Oxycotin and other prescription drugs.
Jameson will have to be in court on August 13th for a pretrial hearing.
A DUI attorney may suggest a not guilty plea of they have an effective defense strategy. There are a number of ways in which an attorney can challenge a drunk driving offense. A legal expert can keep their clients from getting a conviction or help them avoid tough penalties.
One effective strategy in California is to plea to a lesser charge of “wet reckless,” a DUI defense that is only applicable of the driver has a BAC on the borderline, wasn’t involved in an accident and the offender has no prior record.
Preventing a DUI conviction is possible but the person facing the charges must get legal representation to help them navigate the courts.
