Adam Sandler’s Funny People features duPont REGISTRY™ on its set

Set directors choose this top luxury consumer magazine to decorate set.

When it comes to setting the stage for a major feature starring the likes of Adam Sandler, Hollywood set directors are experts in creating the perfect feel to make a film seem more believable.  Picking the right props for the set can be a big factor in a film’s overall success.  In the case of the recently released hit Funny People, it was as simple as reaching for a copy of society’s easily recognizable marker of wealth, the duPont REGISTRY™ magazine.

Sandler’s character, George Simmons, a wildly successful comedian, is dying but has everything anyone could ever dream of:  a mansion, luxury automobiles, a private jet, and, as seen in numerous scenes in the film, the world famous title duPont REGISTRY, A Buyers Gallery of Fine Automobiles®, on his coffee table.

This isn’t the first time a duPont REGISTRY™ magazine has been involved in a Hollywood movie production. In the Hollywood thriller, Murder at 1600, starring Wesley Snipes, Diane Lane, Alan Alda, and Dennis Miller, the duPont REGISTRY, A Buyers Gallery of Fine Homes® was on the coffee table in the multi-million dollar home.  Wesley Snipes picked it up as he and Dennis Miller investigated the murdered victim.

Fans of Tim Allen’s Home Improvement were often treated to seeing the most recent edition of the duPont REGISTRY, A Buyers Gallery of Fine Automobiles®, on the coffee table of the set in the regular television series.

Hollywood hits may come and go but this timeless marker of wealth and affluence remains the same, and the duPont REGISTRY™ appears to be the “magazine of choice” for set directors trying to create that atmosphere.
