Raritan’s CompuSwitch-PENT KVM Switch being Evaluated for EAL4+ Certification

42U, the nation’s largest independent value-added reseller (VAR) of datacenter and server management solutions, announces that Raritan’s CompuSwitch-PENT KVM Switch, which provides single-user access to two, four, or eight servers from a single KVM console, is being evaluated for Common Criteria EAL4+ Certification.

EAL4+ Certification is an internationally recognized security standard that certifies products for “sensitive” and “classified” use. During the certification process, a product’s security is independently reviewed and analyzed against a defined set of requirements.

Some U.S. government agencies, such as the U.S. Department of Defense, require that products be Common Criteria validated. In addition, the standard has been adopted by the IEEE and is recognized by the European Union.

According to Raritan, the CompuSwitch-PENT KVM Switch is the first product in its category to undergo this level of testing..

For the past four years, Raritan has recognized 42U as its #1 value-added reseller. As a multi-vendor VAR, 42U has also been recognized as Avocent’s Platinum Elite VAR for the past four years, Rose Electronics’ Platinum VAR for the past four years, and Mincom’s #1 VAR for the past two years.
