CEO Marius Kloppers not amazingly topped the pops with 225,000 bonus shares but he also won the award for biggest percentage shell-out to the tax man, at 47.4 per cent of his gross. He had to sell approximately 120,000 of them.
BHP Billiton PLC shares in London more often than not trade at a discount to their Australian "limited" counterparts but they're still the stock of choice for senior execs collecting them as bonus or as they call it, "performance shares".
Coal and iron ore chief Marcus Randolph, based in Melbourne, yesterday reported picking up a juicy 110,000 PLC shares by way of a bonus for the recent year, worth just over $4 million.
