The Deep Sky Divas return to Astronomy.FM Radio on Tuesday, August 25th to chat about all things astronomy, including NASA’s next shuttle mission, STS-128; recent and upcoming sky events for backyard observing; the AAVSO’s Citizen Sky project; LCROSS’ lunar impact on October 9; and Marleen’s latest addition to her astronomy cache – a 20” Obsession!
Astronomy.FM is the new online meeting-place for amateur astronomers - a site for all things astronomy! Since our launch in May 2009, people from around the world continue to join this rapidly-growing online community. The site was started by an international group of amateur astronomer friends, to enable all members to share local and online viewing, imaging, equipment information, and other astronomy experiences.
We feature live radio broadcasts; a daily AAPOD (Amateur Astronomy Picture of the Day) contributed by members, with a contest for AAPOD of the Month; a forum, chat room, picture gallery, and more!
