Through Aug. 31, 2009, eligible businesses that best exemplify the Southern Heroes spirit through empowering their local communities, improving the quality of life of their Southeastern neighbors through local, community service, and giving back to those in need will be selected as winners.
Examples of prospective Southern Heroes are: businesses with fewer than 500 employees; business professionals, including physicians, attorneys and entrepreneurs; and small business work teams. Southern Heroes nominees should be dedicated to serving the community in addition to undertaking their everyday work. Bob Dawson, president and CEO of SouthernLINC Wireless states that, there are countless small businesses and entrepreneurs that, despite challenging economic times, continue to instill charitable initiatives into their company cultures and business practice. With this in mind, SouthernLINC Wireless will honor three Southeastern businesses that are fervent about helping others and making a difference in their local communities as 2009 Southern Heroes.
