Grammy Winning Rapper Krayzie Bones Arrested for DUI

Krayzie Bones from the Grammy winning group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was arrested last Friday for suspicion of drunk driving.

Krayzie Bones, whose real name is Anthony Henderson was arrested after a routine traffic stop around 12:00 a.m., according to TMZ. Police believed the rapper was intoxicated so they administered field sobriety tests which he apparently failed. When tested his blood alcohol level was .10, just over California’s legal limit of .08.

He was taken to a nearby jail, where police said he was cooperative, but was released shortly afterward.

Following his arrest Krayzie took to/Twitter, where he admitted his mistake. “I was just riding home late and got into trouble with the law. It is what it is.” Adding, “First time it’s ever happened to me. So lesson learned.”

First time DUI offenders in California, face anywhere from 4 days to 6 months in jail, along with suspension of their license from 30 days to 6 months. The associated fines can cost as much as $2,600. In addition to the penalties, DUI offenders will also have this charge on their permanent records which are nearly impossible to expunge.

DUI attorney is able to, in many cases, prevent their clients from getting a DUI conviction, by offering to plead to a lesser charge. It may cost a little more to have a legal expert, but with an effective defense strategy, the offender can beat the charge or at get a more lenient sentence.
