Kobe Bryant scored 34 points and Lamar Odom finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists as the LA Lakers (14-6) used a 37-22 third quarter to beat the San Antonio spurs (15-6) 106-99. Tim Duncan had 16 points and 13 rebounds while Tony Parker added 21 points and 9 assists for the Spurs.
The Seattle Supersonics (10-11) had four players with 20 or more points in their victory over the Golden State Warriors (10-11) 117-115. Luke Ridnour led Seattle with 26 points and 9 assists, Rashard Lewis had 25 points and 8 rebounds, Damien Wilkins had 22 points and 9 rebounds, and Earl Watson finished with 20 points. Baron Davis led the Warriors with 28 points, 13 assists, and 9 rebounds.
The Sacramento Kings (9-10) build a 13 point advantage at the half and extended their lead to 30 points after the third quarter as they blew out the Atlanta Hawks (8-11) 117-92. Brad Miller led the Kings with 19 points and Corliss Williamson added another 18 points in the win. The Kings shot 57 percent from the floor. The Hawks turned the ball over 25 times in the loss. Salim Stoudamire led Atlanta with 26 points.
Amare Stoudemire scored 22 points and 12 rebounds and Steve Nash added 11 points and 10 assists as the Phoenix Suns (13-6) crushed the Charlotte Bobcats (5-15) 114-84. Charlotte actually led by three points after the first quarter but the Suns outscored them by 33 points the rest of the way. It was the Suns 10th straight win. Sean May led the Bobcats with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
Martell Webster scored 22 points and grabbed 8 rebounds while Jarrett Jack added 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists as the Portland Trail Blazers (8-14) beat the Toronto Raptors (7-13) 93-83. The Trail Blazers out rebounded the Raptors 56-34. Morris Peterson led the Raptors with 23 points. Chris Bosh did not play.
