After more than 10 years of marriage, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassif are calling it quits. Nassif, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, filed for legal separation on Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court. Irreconcilable differences are cited at the reason for the split. Nassif also requested to share physical and legal custody of sons Gavin, Christian and Colin with Maloof.
"The welfare of our children is my primary focus as Adrienne and I work through this difficult time,” Nassif told TMZ. "I want the best for her and our children and I hope that everyone can respect our privacy away from the cameras."
Maloof, 50, spoke to Radar Online about the split. "I'm so sorry that this is happening but my children are my life and sometimes we need to do what's best for them," she said. "It's an unfortunate situation but I have to have my kids' best interest at heart.”
The couple signed a pre-nup before their marriage in 2002, but details on the agreement remain unclear.
Meanwhile, an insider tells Radar Online the pair’s marriage had been on the rocks for a while. “Adrienne and Paul have pretty much had an open marriage for quite some time. They both knew of indiscretions the other had, and both would get jealous, but their marriage had become so broken it was the only option for them,” the source claims.
