American
Seniors Association President Stuart Barton appeared on CBS News on Monday at
6:00pm ET.
Barton will
discuss the current health care plan that is being proposed by President Barack
Obama and his administration and the backlash received by seniors about the
perceived inadequacies of the plan.
The plan is
causing a stir, especially in the senior community as millions of elderly
citizens are worried about their health in the near future. Thousands of
elderly people have been very active in attending health care town hall
meetings, even tearing up their AARP cards.
AARP held a
meeting with Obama over his health care reform, but later said that the
organization is bipartisan and has not endorsed any legislative measure about
health care.
ASA is
focused on providing choices, information and services for elderly. In
addition, the company does not side with any political affiliation, working to
provide the best services possible for elderly citizens throughout the nation.
Their services include Medicare, insurance, prescription discounts and travel
services.
