Big Brother 14 Week 3 POV Recap: Shane Dominates

Shane’s winning streak continued this week with another Power of Veto win. Wednesday’s episode picks up after the nomination ceremony; Joe is angry and knows he is the target while Ashley is bewildered. Janelle immediately begins scheming. She pushes Joe, Ashley and Wil to hide their anger from Shane and offer to work with him. Joe basically does everything Janelle said not to do when he talks to Shane. Shane doesn’t buy in to anything Joe says.

In addition to Shane and the nominees, Danielle, Frank and Wil are picked to play in the POV competition. Jenn is chosen to host. For the circus themed competition the players must roll two balls up separate inclines at the same time. Players are eliminated when one of their balls hits the ground.

Wil is out first. He is followed by Joe, Frank and Danielle. Ashley lasts a little while longer, but can’t keep a steady pace and ends up letting a ball drop. Shane wins his third straight POV.

After the competition, Janelle immediately starts working on Shane and Britney. She offers to let them hold her wedding rings for the next three weeks as a sign of her loyalty. Janelle says they can have her rings if she breaks her word. Britney and Shane refuse the rings, but the offer seems to make them more open to a deal with Janelle’s players. Joe offers his loyalty to Shane for the rest of the game. He even promises to vote out his own team if it comes down to that.

Everything changes after Britney talks to Ian about his intentions. Ian refuses to promise Shane’s safety in the coming weeks. He only says there is “no foreseeable circumstance” in which he would go after Shane. Britney tells Shane about the conversations, and both get paranoid about Boogie’s team. They realize Boogie’s team could switch the vote to get Ashley out of the house and make a deal with Joe, the stronger player. To prevent that from happening, Shane and Britney decide they should use the POV to save Ashley and nominate one of Boogie’s players. Since Danielle is the deciding vote this week, they can choose to backdoor someone or stick with the original plan to evict Joe. Shane tells Frank about the plan, and Frank suggests putting Ian on the block.

At the POV ceremony, Shane uses the POV on Ashley. He makes Frank the replacement nominee.
