American Seniors Association Accepting Torn AARP Cards from Elderly Citizens

American Seniors Association is accepting torn AARP cards from former AARP policyholders, according to reports.

ASA is allowing elderly citizens to mail in their torn AARP cards and receive a 2 year-for-1 year membership with the American Seniors Association.

Thousands of elderly citizens have reportedly torn up their AARP cards after reports that the organization backed President Barack Obama’s health care plan. The plan has drawn red flags by millions of Americans as to the future of health care, especially how the government will handle public and private health care options.

ASA stands in favor of the best policy for elderly citizens, but has yet to make a political stance over Obama’s health care plan. However, they have said that the plan does not protect elderly citizens as it is written now. They are offering disgruntled AARP clients the opportunity to join a seniors organization that has their best interests in mind.
