Angelina Jolie, 31, has revealed that she has no intentions of marrying current partner Brad Pitt, 42. In an interview with Vogue magazine Jolie stated “We are legally bound to our children, not to each other, and I think that's the most important thing.”
The interview with Jolie also shed some light on how her relationship with Pitt started and developed. While working on the Hollywood blockbuster “Mr.& Mrs. Smith” together Jolie said the two shared a “deep, emotional bond.” Of course Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston, 37, at the time and Jolie said she never intended for her relationship with Pitt to ruin his marriage, “I think we were both the last two people who were looking for a relationship.”
After the movie she said she remained close to Pitt but did not detail the extent of their relationship. It wasn’t until Pitt split from Aniston that Jolie said “life developed in a way where we could be together, and where it felt like something we would do, we should do.”
While Jolie has said she has no plans on marrying Pitt she did say they are committed to raising their three children. Jolie adopted her Cambodian son Maddox while married to Billy Bob Thornton in 2002. She adopted again in 2005, this time a daughter, Zahara, from Ethiopia.
Earlier this year Jolie and Pitt had their first child together, a daughter, Shiloh.
