Carmelo Anthony scored 26 points and Marcus Camby scored 8 points and pulled down 17 rebounds as the Denver Nuggets (12-7) overcame a sluggish first half to dominate the second and beat the Atlanta Hawks (8-12) 100-87. Atlanta led 54-43 at the half but Denver applied the defensive pressure and held Atlanta to just 33 second half points. Josh Smith led the Hawks with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Michael Redd scored 22 points and Andrew Bogut scored 16 with 9 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks (9-12) came back to beat the Seattle Supersonics (10-12) 94-93. Ruben Patterson added 21 points for the Bucks who improved to 5-4 at home this year. Rashard Lewis led the Sonics with 26 points.
The Los Angeles Lakers (15-6) nearly blew a 20 point lead going into the fourth quarter but held on to beat the Houston Rockets (14-7) 102-94. Scott Padgett had a chance to tie the game with a minute left bur missed both his free throws. Kobe Bryant led the Lkers with 23 points but the story of the game was missed free throws from Houston. The Rockets were just 21-31 as a team from the charity stripe. Yao Ming led Houston with 26 points.
Matt Barnes scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Andris Biedrins scored 20 points and 14 rebounds, and Baron Davis had 14 points and 13 assists as the Golden State Warriors (11-11) beat the Sacramento Kings (9-11) 126-113.
