NHL Scores from Dec.12; Darcy Tucker, Jason Spezza, Jarome Iginla, and Chris Pronger lead their teams to wins.

The Buffalo Sabres (23-5-2) held a 3-0 lead over the New Jersey Devils (17-10-2) in the third period and held on to win 3-2. Daniel Briere assisted on all three goals for the Sabres while Jochen Hecht, Maxim Afinogenov, and Jason Pominville each found the back of the net for Buffalo. Brian Gionta scored his 13th goal of the year for New Jersey.
 
Matt Cullen had a goal and an assist and Jarkko A. Immonen did the same as the New York Rangers (17-10-4) beat the Philadelphia Flyers (8-18-4) 3-1 for their fourth straight victory. Michael Nylander scored the other goal for the Rangers; it was his 12th of the year. R.J. Umberger scored the lone goal for the Flyers; Philadelphia could manage just 16 shots on the night
 
Jason Spezza scored a pair of goals in the second period and the Ottawa Senators (16-15-1) got a great game in goal from Ray Emery to beat the Detroit Red Wings (17-8-4) 3-2. Emery saved 43 shots for the Senators to secure the win. The Red Wings got a power play goal from Pavel Datsyuk.
 
The Montreal Canadiens (17-8-5) got a pair of goals in the third period to lift them to a 4-3 win over the Boston Bruins (14-12-2). Sergei Samsonov scored two goals for Montreal. Marc Savard scored two goals and added an assist for the Bruins.
 
Chad Kilger scored two goals in the second period and Darcy Tucker added his 18th goal of the year and dished out an assist as the Toronto Maple Leafs (14-13-5) beat the Tampa Bay Lightning (14-15-2) 5-4. Vincent Lecavalier scored his 18th goal and added two assists for the Lightning while Martin St. Louis scored his 18th for Tampa and had an assist.
 
Chris Pronger scored two goals in the third period to lift the Anaheim Ducks (24-3-6) past the Florida Panthers (10-17-6) 5-4. Scott Niedermayer had two assists while Corey Perry had a goal and two assists for the Ducks. Anaheim also had a goal and an assist from Francois Beauchemin in the win. Olli Jokinen had a pair of assists for the Panthers.
 
The Chicago Blackhawks (12-12-5) scored three third period goals to overcome a 1-0 deficit and beat theSt. Louis Blues (7-18-4) 3-2. Radim Vrbata had a goal and an assist for the Blackhawks while Peter Bondra scored his first goal of the year for Chicago. Christian Backman had a goal and an assist for the Blues.
 
David Legwand scored with under three minutes remaining in the third period to lift the Nashville Predators (19-8-3) past the Edmonton Oilers (16-12-2) 3-2. J.P. Dumont assisted on the first two goals for Nashville. Fernando Pisani had a goal and an assist for the Oilers while Raffi Torres had a pair of assists in a losing effort.
 
Anson Carter assisted on both goals in the third period to give the Columbus Blue Jackets (11-16-2) a 3-1 win over the Dallas Stars (20-11-0). Columbus got goals from David Vyborny, Dan Fritsche, and Jason Chimera in the victory. Fredrik Norrena had 25 saves in goal for the Blue Jackets. Philippe Boucher scored a power play goal for the Stars in the third.
 
Jarome Iginla scored two goals and had two assists and Alex Tanguay had a goal and two assists as the Calgary Flames (15-10-1) routed the Minnesota Wild (16-12-2) 5-2. Calgary scored three goals in the second period to build a 5-1 lead going into the third period. Daymond Langkow had a goal and an assist in the Flames win. Pascal Dupuis scored a shorthanded goal for the Wild.
 
The Vancouver Canucks (15-15-1) scored four goals in the first period, built a 5-0 lead, and beat the Phoenix Coyotes (11-18-1) 5-2. All five goals for the Canucks came from different players. Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin each had two assists while Ryan Kesler and Kevin Bieksa each had a goal and an assist. 
 
Joe Pavelski scored two goals and Evgeni Nabokov stopped 36 shots as the San Jose Sharks (23-9-0) beat the Los Angeles Kings (11-17-4) 3-1. The Sharks first goal came from Steve Bernier on a first period power play. Lubomir Visnovsky scored the only goal for the Kings.
