Delta Air Lines Inc. plans to stop directly serving Duluth at the end of the month.Officials at Atlanta-based Delta and the Duluth Airport Authority informed that the airline plans to use regional jet affiliates Mesaba and Pinnacle airlines.

Delta is in the process of merging its operations with Northwest Airlines, which used to have a maintenance base in Duluth and offered regular service with large aircraft.
