Nick Lachey is looking forward to everything fatherhood entails – including the lack of sleep. The Stars Earn Stripes contestant tells People magazine he “can’t even explain” how excited he is to welcome his first child with wife Vanessa Lachey.
“For someone who has wanted a family for such a long time, I’ve looked forward to this moment. Now that it’s almost here, it’s awesome,” says Lachey.
“Maybe it’s because this is my first, but I’m looking forward to the lack of sleep — everything. I don’t care. I’m excited to do the whole process,” he says.
The former 98 Degrees singer announced Vanessa’s pregnancy on Live! With Kelly in March. "I've had a chance to do a lot of great things in my career and my life but this is the one thing that, more than any other, I look forward to. The fact that it's actually here, it's overwhelming,” he said at the time.
Vanessa announced in June they are expecting a baby boy. “It’s a BOY. Nick and I are incredibly excited to share the news that we are expecting a baby boy,” she Tweeted. “We can’t wait to meet him soon!!!”
The baby is due next month.
