Soon after the elimination of Reid and Donna, Chris Harrison hands out surveys to the remaining contestants. Harrison encourages everyone to be honest with their answers since they will be incorporated into the next challenge.
For the challenge, the guys and girls must answer questions for different point amounts. Some of the questions are about past Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons while others are about the answers written down on the surveys. The guy and the girl with the most points each win roses and dates.
Among the answers revealed in the competition: Jamie thinks Jaclyn is the most fake person in the house, Blakeley thinks Jamie is the most annoying person in the house, Nick thinks Blakeley is the contestant who has accomplished the least in her life, and Kalon thinks Erica will be a bad parent because she eats her hair.
Ed wins for the guys and Jaclyn wins for the girls. Jaclyn receives her date card first and she chooses Ed to go on the date. The pair enjoys a picnic and fireworks at Dodgers Stadium. Since Ed won the challenge and already has a rose, Jaclyn is instructed to give the date rose to a guy back at the house. That guy will also get a date with someone of his choice.
Back at the mansion, Chris flirts with Jamie and takes her to a private room for some kissing and cuddling. While Jamie has nothing but praise for Chris in her one-on-one with the camera, Chris complains about her being desperate.
Jaclyn gives the rose and next date to Chris. He shocks Jamie and Blakeley when he picks Sarah for the date. While Jamie loves it when Chris tells her he did it to protect her from Blakeley’s anger, Blakeley is not that accepting of Chris’ excuses. She demands for him to promise his loyalty to her until the end, but Chris refuses.
Chris and Sarah film a short action movie on their date. The two later decide to get a hotel room for the night. When they return to the mansion the following morning, Jamie is hurt and Blakeley is angry.
Ed and Jaclyn decide to give the last rose to Rachel, one of their closest allies. Ed, Jaclyn, Chris and Rachel are all safe going in to the rose ceremony.
Chris campaigns to send Blakeley packing instead of Jamie, while super fan David tries to save himself by getting Nick eliminated. In the end, Jamie and David are eliminated.
