NFL Preseason Schedule Friday Aug. 21: Brett Favre Debuts for Vikings vs. Chiefs, Matt Ryan Leads Falcons to Face Rams, Tony Romo and Cowboys Take on Vince Young and Titans
Brett Favre will make his debut with the Minnesota Vikings when he takes the field against the Kansas City Chiefs in preseason play on Friday.
Favre signed with the Vikings earlier this week, returning from his retirement with the New York Jets. He joins All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson in the Vikings backfield this season.
The Chiefs recently added wide receiver Ashley Lelie and signed their No. 1 draft pick Tyson Jackson, adding talent to a team that has not been a winning team in recent years.
The Dallas Cowboys will host the Tennessee Titans on FOX at 8pm. Tony Romo will have to find a new favorite target this season with Terrell Owens leaving for the Buffalo Bills.
The Titans return quarterback Vince Young, who had a tumultuous year last season as he dealt with personal issues and injuries. Running back LenDale White is in great shape after starting a new diet and losing a lot of excess weight.
New head coach Steve Spagnuolo will lead the St. Louis Rams, who will host the Atlanta Falcons on Friday night. Spagnuolo looks to add to the defense of the Rams, while All-Pro running back Steven Jackson and quarterback Marc Bulger will lead the offense.
The Falcons are led by last year’s top rookie quarterback Matt Ryan and All-Pro running back Michael Turner, who surprised the NFL will great success last season.
