Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger may be sitting out Saturday’s game against the Washington Redskins after injuring his right Achilles tendon on Thursday.
Roethlisberger injured his right Achilles tendon when offensive tackle Max Starks accidentally stepped on it during practice. Starks had been blocking James Harrison during a drill when he was pushed into Roethlisberger, forcing the quarterback to be carted off the field.
Roethlisberger is to have the injury re-examined on Friday and his status for Saturday’s game remains up in the air.
