Brett Favre
will make his debut with the Minnesota Vikings on Friday when he takes the
field against the Kansas City Chiefs in preseason play.
Favre
signed with the Vikings earlier this week, returning from his retirement with
the New York Jets. He joins All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson in the Vikings
backfield this season.
Favre has
been practicing all week after signing a two-year, $25 million deal that brings
his out of retirement for the second time in as many years. He retired from the
Green Bay Packers in 2008 and earlier this year from the New York Jets.
Favre
completed 343 of 522 passes for 3,472 yards, 22 TDs and 22 INTs for the Jets
last season. Favre started all 16 games for the 16th consecutive
season.
