In a blog post Thursday, MySpace CEO Owen Van Natta said the company is working with Media Link to "to improve our advertising product for our users as well as for our advertising partners."
Jeff Berman, president of marketing and sales, is leaving MySpace after more than three years with the company, according to Associated Press. Millard is not directly replacing Berman. Instead, MySpace will work in a partnership with Media Link under her leadership.
Millard's previous posts have included chief sales officer of Yahoo Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) and co-CEO of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (NYSE: MSO).
Van Natta joined MySpace in April, facing the lofty task of reinvigorating the social network at a time Twitter and Facebook have often eclipsed it in the spotlight.
In the April-June quarter, News Corp. booked $630 million in impairment and restructuring charges on Fox Interactive Media, which houses MySpace. News Corp. bought MySpace for $580 million in 2005.
