TV actor William Windom has died at the age of 88. Windom, who is best known for his recurring roles on “Star Trek” and “Murder, She Wrote,” passed away of congestive heart failure last Thursday at his California home. No other details were immediately available.
Although Windom appeared in numerous films, including “To Kill A Mockingbird” and “Fools’ Parade,” he is best known for his TV work. Windom won an Emmy for his starring role on the first and only season of “My World and Welcome to it.” His other TV credits include “Gunsmoke,” “The Farmer’s Daughter,” “Columbo” and “The Twilight Zone.”
Windom is survived by his fifth wife, Patricia Turner, and four children.
