It’s official: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are no longer husband and wife. An insider says the pair’s divorce was finalized in New York on Monday. Neither Cruise, 50, nor Holmes, 33, has commented.
Holmes and Cruise’s divorce has been smooth and amicable. Less than two weeks after Holmes’ June 29th divorce filing, the pair reached a settlement. Details on the agreement, including the custody arrangement for the couple’s 6-year-old daughter Suri, have not been released. Cruise and Holmes were married for five years.
This was the first marriage for Holmes and the third for Cruise. The Rock of Ages star was previously married to Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman.
In other celebrity divorce news, actress Vanessa Marcil has filed for divorce from her husband of two years, CSI: NY actor Carmine Giovinazzo. The 43-year-old cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
