LL Cool J and his family are safe after an attempted robbery early Wednesday at their Los Angeles home. A rep for the NCIS: Los Angeles star confirmed the incident and thanked fans for their concern.
"LL Cool J and his family are safe and thank everyone from their thoughts and concern. As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter," his rep said in a statement Wednesday.

whose real name is James Todd Smith, discovered the unidentified burglar on the
first floor of his home after waking up to unusual noises around 2 a.m. He
restrained the suspect until authorities arrived and took the person into
custody. The suspect reportedly sustained some bruises in the scuffle with the
actor. No other details were available.
