IMS Health Inc. RX, Names Jack Walsh as SVP of Payer and Government Solutions

IMS Health has announced that John R. Walsh has been named senior vice president, Payer and Government Solutions, a new position.
Previously, Walsh was senior vice president, Strategy and Business Development for IMS. He continues to report to David R. Carlucci, IMS chairman and CEO, and will be based in Norwalk, CT.
In his new role, Walsh is responsible for the continued expansion of IMS's payer and government solutions initiatives in markets worldwide. He also will take the lead in driving the company's comparative effectiveness research activities - supporting biopharmaceutical companies, private payers and governments, as well as employers, healthcare providers and patient groups, as they evaluate and compare the clinical and cost effectiveness of different treatment approaches.
IMS Health is a provider of market intelligence to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
