Alcoa, Inc. AA, Stocks Gain, Led by Alcoa, as Commodities Prices Advance

Alcoa, Inc.

Alcoa Inc., the largest U.S. aluminum producer, and Exxon Mobil Corp., the biggest U.S. oil company, as copper and oil advanced. Bank of America Corp. gained 2 percent and led financial companies to the biggest gain among 10 industry groups. Advanced Micro Devices Inc. climbed 9.7 percent for the biggest gain in the S&P 500 after Citigroup Inc. recommended buying the shares.

U.S. stocks climbed for a fifth day, the longest streak for the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index since November, as higher commodity prices improved the profit outlook for raw-materials and energy producers.
