After the double eviction in which Boogie and Ashley were sent packing, Frank slams Ian for being a “terrible person.” He also rants about Ian being Dan’s “puppet.” Dan and Britney do their best to support Ian.
Realizing he will need allies to survive another week, Frank approaches Shane, Britney and Danielle before the HOH competition. He basically lays out his plan to get Dan out of the house. Danielle refuses to go along with the plan and she leaves the room. Britney and Shane make a deal to support Frank’s plan in exchange for their safety if he wins Head of Household.
For the HOH competition, two houseguests at a time face off in a game that involves using pulleys to navigate a ball into a hole at the top of a large game board. Frank beats all six houseguests to become the new HOH.
Before nominations, Frank is faced with Pandora’s Box. He decides to open it because it contains money. While Frank gets just over $3,000, the houseguests compete for a Veto Ball inside the prize machine in the arcade room. They must find 50 cents to play inside balls dropping from the sky in the backyard. Dan tries his hardest to win, but Ian ends up scoring the Veto Ball.
Ian’s Veto Ball makes Frank paranoid about putting Dan on the chopping block. He tries to make Ian promise he won’t use the ball on Dan, but Ian refuses to commit to anything. Frank considers nominating Ian so Ian will use the ball on himself, but he ends up going with the original plan to put Dan and Danielle on the chopping block.
