Brett Favre to Start First Half of Vikings Game against Houston Texans

Brett Favre has been announced as the starter for the Minnesota Vikings game against the Houston Texans next Monday and according to head coach Brad Childress the 39-year-old quarterback will play the entire first half.

Favre played just two series in the Vikings game against the Kansas City Chiefs last Friday, finishing 1 for 4 for 4 yards.

The three-time NFL MVP missed the Vikings first preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts after missing all of training camp prior to signing with Minnesota.
