Actor Scott Wilson, who plays zombie apocalypse survivor Hershel Greene on AMC’s hit show The Walking Dead, is facing DUI charges following an arrest earlier this month in Peachtree City, Georgia. The 70-year-old has not commented on his arrest.
According to reports, Wilson was pulled over around 2 a.m. on Saturday, August 18 by officers responding to a 911 call about someone driving erratically in a Chrysler PT Cruiser on Ga. 74. The actor was speeding around 70 mph when officers located him. After he was stopped, Wilson admitted to drinking scotch and wine earlier in the night. He also reportedly offered to perform “yoga moves” instead of a field sobriety test. A breathalyzer test registered Wilson’s blood alcohol level at 0.143, which is well above the legal limit of .08.
No other details were immediately available. Wilson’s film credits include The Great Gatsby, Pearl Habor, Dead Man Walking and The Heartbreak Kid.
