Montana Man Killed Trying To Pull Off Bigfoot Hoax

A Montana man hoping to trick people into thinking they had spotted Bigfoot died Sunday night while trying to pull off his hoax on Highway 93 near Kalispell. Police say Randy Lee Tenley was dressed in a Ghillie suit, a type camouflage that resembles heavy foliage, when he stepped onto the right lane of the highway. Tenley was hit by two cars and pronounced dead at the scene.

Tenley’s friends later told police about his Bigfoot hoax. Trooper Jim Schneider told reporters Tenley hoped “people would call in a Sasquatch sighting.” Police received no calls about a Sasquatch sighting on Sunday.

“You can't make it up. I haven't seen or heard anything like this before. Obviously, his suit made it difficult for people to see him,” Schneider said.
