Rocky Balboa Premiers to Philadelphia Faithful

Sylvester Stallone, Burt Young, and the cast of Rocky Balboa were in Philadelphia Monday night to screen the movies premier.

Hundreds of fans packed the streets of downtown Philly to root on their adopted son, Stallone. For Stallone there couldn’t have been a better place to premier the sixth and final film in the Rocky series. Stallone said, "This is where he came from this is where he deserves to go out.”

Most of the movie was filmed in Philadelphia and the surrounding area. The love affair between fictional boxer and hard nosed city has continued to develop ever since Rocky hit the screen in 1976. The original Rocky won an Oscar as Best Picture in 1977 ands Stallone picked up a nomination for Best Actor as well as Best Writing/Screenplay.

Thirty years later the final chapter begins. Rocky Balboa goes nation wide on Christmas Day.
