O.J. Simpson Sued by Father of Ronald Goldman

Fred Goldman, the father of murdered Ronald Goldman, has sued O.J. Simpson for any money the former NFL superstar may have gained in the book deal he signed detailing how he would have committed the murder.

Ronald Goldman along with Nicole Brown Simpson were murdered on June 12, 1994. Suspicion quickly fell upon Nicole’s ex-husband O.J. Simpson. In what came to be known as “The Trial of the Century” Simpson was acquitted of all charges.

In 1997 a civil trial jury found Simpson liable for the deaths of the two friends and ordered him to pay almost $20 million to the Goldman family.

Earlier this year Simpson signed a television/book deal with ReaganBooks in which he outlined how he would have committed the brutal murders. The book “If I Did It” drew outrage from the media and public and was cancelled but Simpson retained money for the deal.

Fred Goldman is now seeking the money that Simpson was awarded for signing on to the project. It is believed the amount is in excess of $1 million.

Simpson revealed last month that the sole reason for signing the deal was for personal profit and deemed the financial gain as “blood money.”
