Less than one-year after Eminem, 34, remarried Kim Mathers, 31, the pair officially divorced on Tuesday. While Circuit Judge Antonio P. Viviano declared the on-again-off-again duo “a very fine couple to deal with” it hasn’t always been so harmonious.
Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, has made Kim the subject of many of his songs in the past. His hit single “Stan” detailed the murder of his then ex-wife and drew sharp criticism from women’s groups and ant-violence organizations.
Their second divorce was conducted in a more civil manner with both parties agreeing to divide property and share custody of their 10-year-old daughter Hailie Jade Scott. On his 2002 Grammy winning album “The Eminem Show” Mathers had his daughter carry the hook in “My Dad’s Gone Crazy.”
The rap superstar has won nine Grammy Awards and picked up an Oscar for the song “Lose Yourself” which appeared in the movie “8 Mile”, a film based loosely on his life.
