A suspected bank robber made it as far as Interstate 205 on Monday before police spotted his vehicle and chased him into a busy SE Portland intersection, where he crashed.
The intersection of SE 82nd Ave. and Powell Blvd. was closed for about an hour and a half as police performed a "pit maneuver" to stop Randy Bruce Turner, 52, according to Detective Mary Wheat, spokesperson for the Portland Police Bureau.
A bank robbery was reported Monday just after 11 a.m. at a NE 102nd Ave. Key Bank location, police said.
Sgt. Michael Marshman said that a vehicle was spotted on southbound I-205 that matched descriptions from the robbery.
