Beauty may buy a person success but it won’t get you out of DUI and Latin model SueLyn Mederios is about to learn the hard way that you can’t outrun the law.
Celebrity gossip master TMZ reported that the LAPD has issue a bench warrant for the beauty after she failed to show up for an August 17th court date.
Mederios was arrested for DUI in July of 2011 while driving a DeLorean, an incident which was caught on tape by TMZ. Mederios pleaded no contest to the charges and was ordered to attend no less than 10 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, a 3-month alcohol treatment program, and three months of summary probation.
Mederios was due to appear in court to prove that she completed her alcohol education classes, but failed to show. Now there is a warrant out for her arrest, and she will probably be going to jail now. This should serve as a warning to anyone who doesn’t take the orders of a DUI court seriously.
Without the representation of an accomplished DUI lawyer, a first time offender could face up to six months in jail and the loss of their license.
Courts take drunk driving seriously and the penalties can be harsh unless you follow a judge’s orders. An attorney works hard to make certain their client stops a conviction or gets a lenient sentence. Missing a court date is not only unwise but can land you in jail.
