Instant Motivation

Discover how you can generate instant motivation

I will show you how to create a positive anchor to create instant motivation.

1) Think of a time when you were the most confident in your life. Stand up, close your eyes and imagine the body posture you had and how that felt. Mimic that posture now.

2) Recall the other things that were in the environment at that time in order to help you feel that way now. What were the sounds? Was there a taste? A feeling in your body? What did you see?

3) Take these various bodily sensations and one-by-one test each by amplifying them as if you had a sound knob on a radio that could control these emotions. Imagine that you are turning them up. You want to be making things louder and more vivid, making what you see brighter and bigger. You will find that amplifying some of these emotions will create more of a response than others. Take note of the sensations that create more excitement and positive energy as you turn them up. If you want to add pumped-up music to this powerful state, do it. It must be a song that gets you juiced with motivation and confidence.

4) Now take all the sensations that create more positive sensations and think back to the time when you felt the most confident and motivated. Then turn up these sensations and stand in a pose like you're a rock star or superhero. Do it! To truly learn something you must experience it.

5) In this stance of a superhero/rock star, do a confident arm motion by which you push both your arms in front of you from your chest and breath out hard. When you breath out hard you might make some noise like a tennis player's grunt made while hitting a ball hard. If it makes you feel better, you may want to yell a powerful word or phrase such as "BOOOM!" With this movement and hard breathing, amplify all the sensations that you are imagining to the max. Now put it all together and do it.

To truly learn something you must experience it by doing it. Now you've got your power stance and movement. You can do it with your eyes open or closed. Stand in your stance, feel the emotions and feeling in your body, and make your power movement. You can do this at any time because you have now embedded this neural net in your brain. It can be triggered any time you get into your stance and make your movement and sound. The next time you need some spark and motivation, get into your power stance and movement and--shazam!--you've got your good vibes flowing.
