John Edwards to Enter Presidential Race
Advisors from John Edwards’ campaign revealed that the former Senator from North Carolina would be entering the 2008 presidential race.
This will be Edwards’ second presidential race; he was the Democratic vice presidential nominee in 2004. As John Kerry’s running mate, the pair lost to the Republican incumbents George Bush and Dick Cheney.
The official announcement of candidacy is expected tomorrow when Edwards will be touring the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans, an area hit especially hard by Hurricane Katrina.
