Three people were killed and several others were wounded Monday when Taliban militants fired at a United States base in eastern Afghanistan. The dead have been identified as Afghan intelligence agents. The wounded include Afghan soldiers and at least two International Security Assistance Force service members. According to NATO officials, four rockets hit Bagram Airfield around 10 p.m. Monday. One helicopter was completely destroyed and several others were damaged. The Taliban claimed responsibility hours after the attack. The incident is under investigation.
