Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo officially became parents Wednesday evening with the arrival of son Camden John. The couple tells People magazine Camden was born at 6:54 p.m. weighing 8 lbs., 9 oz.
"We are incredibly proud to announce the birth of our beautiful baby boy, Camden John Lachey," the couple says in a statement. "Love has truly been redefined for both of us."
Lachey announced Minnillo's pregnancy in March while co-hosting Live! With Kelly. "I've had a chance to do a lot of great things in my career and my life but this is the one thing that, more than any other, I look forward to. The fact that it's actually here, it's overwhelming,” Lachey said of fatherhood.
Lachey, 38, began dating Minnillo, 31, in 2006 shortly after his split from first wife Jessica Simpson, who welcomed her first child with fiancé Eric Johnson in May. Lachey and Minnillo tied the knot last July.
In other celebrity baby news, Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima gave birth to her second child with husband Marko Jaric on Wednesday. Baby Sienna joins older sister Valentina, 2.
