In a new interview with Katie Couric supermodel Heidi Klum confirmed a romance recently blossomed with her longtime bodyguard Martin Kirsten. Klum, 39, also dispelled rumors she cheated on estranged husband Seal with Kirsten, telling Couric the relationship "just started." Klum and Seal announced they were ending their 7 year marriage in January. Klum, who has four children with the British singer, officially filed for divorce in April.
"He's been with our family for the last four years . . . He's cared for our entire family, mostly for our four children, helped us tremendously," Klum said of Kirsten on Wednesday's episode of Katie. "I trust him with my children's life. He's a great man . . . and we just got to know each other from a completely different side."
Klum also admitted it is "very hard" to start dating again despite having completely moved on from Seal, 49. "It's hard then when everyone is watching you. It's almost like you can't have a real proper chance in a way . . .And I do want to date again. I'm turning 40. I don't even know where it's going to go," she added.
For his part, Seal seems bitter about Klum's new love. "I preferred Heidi would have showed a little bit more class and at least waited until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help,” Seal recently told TMZ.
