NBA Scores from Dec. 30; Adam Morrison, Dwight Howard, Richard Jefferson, and Michael Redd Lead Their Teams to Wins.

Adam Morrison scored a career high 30 points and grabbed 6 rebounds while Raymond Felton handed out a career best 19 assists as the Charlotte Bobcats (9-21) beat the Indiana Pacers (17-15) 113-102. Emeka Okafor added 19 points and 14 rebounds and Matt Carroll scored 18 points in the Bobcats win. Jermaine O’Neal had 27 points and 12 rebounds for the Pacers.

The Orlando Magic (18-14) took advantage of Dwyane Wade’s absence and blew out the Miami Heat (13-17) 97-68. Dwight Howard had 18 points and 10 rebounds while Trevor Ariza finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the Magic win. Orlando out-rebounded Miami 46-33 and turned the ball over just six times in the game. Jason Kapono was the high scorer for the Heat with 15 points. Miami managed just 10 points in the second quarter.

Richard Jefferson scored 23 points and Mikki Moore had 20 points and 8 rebounds as the New Jersey Nets (13-18) beat the Minnesota Timberwolves (13-15) 100-92. Jason Kidd added 19 points and 8 assists in the Nets win. New Jersey shot just under 53 percent from the field. Kevin Garnett led the Timberwolves with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Ricky Davis scored 18 points for Minnesota.

Pau Gasol scored 22 points and had 11 rebounds as Tony Barone made his coaching debut and led the Memphis Grizzlies (7-24) past the Toronto Raptors (13-18) 110-104. Memphis led by 21 points after the first quarter and held on to win. Mike Miller added 27 points and Chucky Atkins had 16 points and 9 rebounds for Memphis. Morris Peterson had 19 points for the Raptors and Rasho Nesterovic added 13 points and 9 rebounds. 

Luol Deng scored 32 points and P.J. Brown scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Chicago Bulls (19-12) beat the Cleveland Cavaliers (17-12). Ben Gordon scored 21 points and had 7 assists in the Chicago win. LeBron James scored 33 points on his 22nd birthday and Drew Gooden had 12 rebounds in the loss. The Bulls were able to hold the Cavs to just 14 points in the third quarter.

The Dallas Mavericks (23-7) beat the NO/Oklahoma City Hornets (12-18) 94-80 marking the 20th straight time the Hornets have fallen to the Mavs. Jason Terry scored 25 points and dished out 6 assists and Dirk Nowitzki finished with 17 points in the Dallas win. Marc Jackson led the Hornets with 22 points and 8 rebounds.

Michael Redd scored 28 points and had 8 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks (16-15) outscored the Washington Wizards (17-13) 37-17 in the fourth quarter and won 119-102. Andrew Bogut added 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Bucks. Caron Butler led the Wizards with 29 points and 13 rebounds. 

Carlos Boozer had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Mehmet Okur scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds as the Utah Jazz (22-9) beat the Portland Trail Blazers (13-18) 96-86. Deron Williams handed out 12 assists for the Jazz. Portland could never overcome their 14 point halftime deficit. Zach Randolph scored 34 points and had 13 rebounds in the Trail Blazers loss.

The Sacramento Kings (13-15) built a 31 point halftime lead and went on to beat the Golden State Warriors (16-16) 119-96. The Kings had a trio of players score more than 20 points, Kevin Martin scored 25 points, Mike Bibby had 21 points, and Quincy Douby finished with 21 points. Matt Barnes scored 17 points and had 6 rebounds in the Warriors loss. Baron Davis struggled from the field, shooting just 3-13 for 8 points.
