The Denver Broncos recently suspended receiver Brandon Marshall for what they consider detrimental conduct. Coach Josh McDaniel’s informed Marshall of the suspension today. His suspension will last until September 5, 2009. The tension began when Marshall demanded a trade and asked for a new contract.
Coach McDaniel’s did not state a specific incident, but stated that it was a series of incidents. “We tried to handle this situation with Brandon as privately and professionally as we could throughout the entire process with he and his agent,” says Kennard McGuire. Although they made the decision to suspend him, McDaniel’s said in a press conference that they look forward to him returning in September.
