Wildfires Near Los Angeles Threaten Thousands of Homes, Evacuations Ordered

California wildfires that have burned for four days are now threatening nearly 10,000 homes in the Los Angeles area and have forced thousands of residents to evacuate.

Those evacuations have included neighborhoods in Altadena, Glendale, Pasadena, La Crescenta and Big Tujunga Canyon and with fire officials noting that only 5 percent of the wildfire had been contained those evacuations are expected to increase dramatically.

Having already charred more than 55 square miles of the Angeles National Forest the flames have made their way down the San Gabriel Mountains and continue to move towards more populated areas including Acton and Santa Clarita.
