Alexis Bellino has reportedly quit the Real Housewives of Orange County because she is tired of “being bullied” by her castmates. Bellino and her husband Jim previously accused Tamara Barney of being particularly cruel in her attacks.
"This vicious and malicious attack on our family will no longer be tolerated. We have continually tried to take the high road, however, if necessary, we are prepared to defend ourselves against these unfounded, slanderous and defamatory remarks to the fullest extent of the law,” the couple previously told Us Weekly magazine of the season 7 drama.
It was those attacks that apparently led the Bellinos to decide to “chose home and family life over celebrity,” according to an insider. The Bellinos have not commented on the reports, but Bravo claims they have “not yet made any announcements about a season 8 pick up or casting."
Bellino has starred on Real Housewives for two-and-a-half seasons. In addition to Tamara Barney, current housewives include Gretchen Rossi, Heather Dubrow and Vicki Gunvalson.
