Indie Artist Matt Jameson Releases New EP Dirt Stomp Romeos

Anyone that is familiar with the music of Matt Jameson anxiously awaits any new recording and that time has arrived.

Brooklyn, NY, September 19, 2012 -- Anyone that is familiar with the music of Matt Jameson anxiously awaits any new recording and that time has arrived. This week a new EP will drop titled Dirt Stomp Romeos. And on the flipside, if you have not discovered his music this would a great place start.

After the critical acclaim received from the 2011 South Shore Girls... release, it was time to change direction and offer up a more eclectic selection of tracks for the faithful. Jameson knows what it takes to get the attention of today’s audience by providing rock-pop craftsmanship to give dedicated music fans a quality set of tracks. The good news is that the mission was accomplished!

The only musicians on Dirt Stomp Romeos were Jameson, Philip A. Jimenez and Nicki Kunzinger on backup vocals.  Jameson played all acoustic and electric rhythm guitars and provided all vocals. The great sound of the recording is attributed to using vintage equipment. The strategy of taking the old and ushering in the new has paid off tenfold as Dirt Stomp Romeos is some of the best biting rock-pop music you are likely to hear this year.

The five tracks on Dirt Stomp Romeos run the gamut of rock, pop and country. It is all done very well by Jameson and his band mates. The production quality is crystal clear, allowing the artist to bring out his vocals strongly without diminishing the sound or quality of the instrumentation.

There will be a CD Release Party on Friday the 28th of September in NYC,  8:30pm at Tammany Hall in the lower east side, 152 Orchard St. in The Village.

Jameson plans on performing with over 150 other acts at the NYC New Music Festival on Wednesday September 26th through Sunday September 30th.  The event promises to be a memorable event for all and it will give fans a chance to discover a wide variety of sights and sounds on display.

Dirt Stomp Romeos is available from the Matt Jameson website and all major e-tailers. Stop by his site for performance updates and media.
