In a video introducing their new gay rights foundation Tie the Knot, Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his longtime boyfriend Justin Mikita reveal they are engaged to be married.
"It's true, I popped the big Q," Ferguson says.
"I said yes!" Mikita adds.
The couple has been dating for almost two years.
Explaining that they want their relationship to “to be acknowledged in a union formalized via a wedding ceremony,” Ferguson says he and Mikita will help bring attention to gay marriage by teaming up with the Tie Bar to create a collection of bowties. All proceeds from the sale of the bowties will go to gay rights organizations. More details on the collection will be posted on their website, tietheknot.org.
