Wednesday’s Big Brother finale started with a flashback to part 1 of the HOH competition. Before heading to the backyard for the endurance challenge, Dan worked his magic on Ian and convinced him to drop out of the competition. Dan claimed he was worried that he couldn’t beat Danielle in part 2, so he needed Ian to do it. Dan then turned around and told Danielle about Ian dropping out of the HOH competition.
True to Dan’s promise, Ian dropped out of part 1 of the HOH competition, leaving Danielle and Dan hanging on their hooks. Dan then convinced Danielle to drop by insisting she would be more likely to beat Ian in part 2 of the HOH competition. Dan’s win advanced him to part 3.
In the event that Ian won part 2, Dan came up with a plan to scare him in to throwing part 3. He told Danielle that he would make a comment that exposed Ian’s final two deal with him so Danielle could threaten to taint the jury if Ian won part 3 and took Dan to the final two.
For part 2 of the HOH competition, Ian and Danielle had to scale a wall to find the pictures of the evicted houseguests and hang them in the order in which they were evicted. Whoever completed the challenge in the least amount of time moved on to face off against Dan in part 3. Ian beat Danielle by 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Shortly after the competition, Dan made his comment and Danielle lit into Ian about his final 2 deal. She threatened to make the jury vote for Dan, but Ian calmly said he refused to respond to threats.
For part 3 of the HOH competition, Dan and Ian had to answer questions about what evicted houseguests said. Whoever had the most points after 6 questions got to evict the final houseguest. Ian won and sent Danielle packing.
After the jury questions and the final 2 speeches, Julie Chen revealed Ian won the $500,000 Big Brother 14 prize by a 6 to 1 vote. Frank won the $25,000 America’s Favorite prize.
